For this week's print wtui challenge. When my niece and her dh took a re-positioning cruise (Mediterranean to Caribbean), she asked what souvenir I wanted. I asked for paper. This news magazine was included in a big box of papers. I think it's Portugal, but maybe Spain or Italy-- I just hope it's not advertising or reporting something gross or inappropriate. I rejected some text that looked like it might be from an infertility study! (Head's up, Susan. This magazine may very well show up as a gifty next time we meet for coffee. It's got an awesome graphic on bikes.)
I used this week's sketch for the layout.
In an effort to keep a focus on vsn, I used Lisa's boat challenge for the theme. I could have used Merla's, since I don't think I'd ever used this ib set, long since retired, from mft. I'm sorry they've discontinued that line. I've had to adjust.
I sponged and used three texture stamps to fill empty spaces on the panels.

I will definitely be moving the gib sail...heading S.
What a stunning CAS card. Love the flourish on top of the
script with it's perfect flowing movement. A beaut of a sailing
ship...we should have a road trip to Astoria this summer when the
tall ships are visiting.

Brenda this is fantastic. I was just thinking I wanted to do a boat on the print and it is perfect. Thank you for creating a card for the WTUI and the boat challenge.

I luv the way you've used the challenge sketch, Brenda! I think this is a perfect masculine card - no frills. It is Italian - something about rebuilding.
