There is a terrific VSN happening this weekend. All the details can be found here.
You are probably wondering which challenge this is for......grrrrr I am the slowest card maker in the world and needless to say I didn't even come close to the one hour time limit on one single challenge yet.
The background was done for one challenge using distress inks, Izinks and a gallon of water - dunk cardstock in watery puddle. The girls were stamped on a background that I had prepared for another failed challenge. The wave was for another challenge, even the sentiment was for a challenge to use something new.....you can see where I am going...I combined all the bits and pieces and came up with this.
I used acetate to make the girls bikinis and hats - lay acetate over stamped bird, draw the bikinis to suit, cut out acetate and use as a template on spotted dp.
Thank you for looking.

Awesome idea to put the birds into bikinis - I like how you used acetate to make the template for the polka dotted bikinis!! Great background that hints of a trip to the beach, and I love those rolling "waves" you made with your die!
Not thinking of the beach quite yet - we have had another wave of colder weather so our first day of spring is going to include some rain/snow mix around here! Yikes!

Thanks, Susie, for getting me to use my Smile muscles again! I can just see you hunched over your pile of bits and pieces, gritting your teeth, checking your watch every three minutes, inks splashing here and there and one leg knee deep in a bucket of water. I imagine Geoff makes himself scarce during these times. Love your bikini trio!!! Well tanned, Elegant beach chapeaus and a gem, a diamond no less, in Quintilda's belly button. (You've neglected to introduce us to these lovely ladies so I asked her name.) The Adorable lady on the left is Eudora and that's Sassy Alana in the center (that's another whole story). Do bird's have belly buttons? It would be indelicate to ask them, I suppose. All this aside, your Wonderous efforts have brought forth another Masterpiece! Thank you.

Darn, I hit submit instead of going on writing....
I think half the secret to the VSN time limit is shopping your stash for most of it and taking time to.focus on just one element.
With your blue blue sea, this reminds me of the one time we visited mainland Greece; the local "older" population used to spend hours in the water just chatting and gossiping, all with their hats and shades.
