The challenge to-day was a fun one..to use yellow.. not a colour I use regularly but this little chick is just the sweetest thing and I couldn't resist! This week my stamp group learned the barn board technique. We used Mr Holtz distress ink and after scoring the boards dragged each pad down the paper. The conversation finally turned to 'knot-holes'..as it does.. so that was our next experiment. I absolutely love this little birdie ..he has such an expressive face and he looks like the kind of bird who would forget someone's very important birthday! I watercoloured him with banana, summer sun and pumpkin pie and fussy cut around him then popped his little head on a foam dot. The sign is a scrap with lines drawn to represent wood-grain. Hope he remembers the birthday next time or he will never get out of that hole he is in!
