For today's WT: Our little corner of the world. I live just minutes from an entrance to Skyline Drive.
The Appalachian Trail is a 2,181-mile public footpath that traverses some of America's most scenic, wooded, pastoral, wild, and culturally resonant lands.
Shenandoah National Park includes a 101-mile portion of the Appalachian Trail. The trail traces the ridge of the Blue Ridge mountains, often following the same route as Skyline Drive. The trail crosses Skyline Drive numerous times in the park.
There is lots of masking and sponging for the mountains and sky. For the greenery I used a stamp from Watercolor Minis in Garden Green to stamp several times creating foliage in the forefront. I then stamped the trees in Mossy Meadow. Thanks for stopping by today, and thank you, Linda for a fun challenge! ~Roberta

Your mountains are so beautiful Roberta! I always loved driving through the "other part" of Virginia when we lived in the Tidewater area. It really is remarkable how different the regions are.

Roberta, your card is fabulous!! I love the area that your scene depicts. I lived in northern VA for 30 years before moving to FL, and I visited the Park many times. It's breathtaking there in the autumn! You did an outstanding job with the mountains, the mountains that I love!
