This is for Wendy's fun Free for All challenge - to make a birthday card you would make for your self.
Even though I turned 60 a couple of months ago, I still don't feel a "grown up". I still believe in fairies and dream about magic forests and learning to ride a bike properly (I'm half way there I can ride in a straight line, but I can't negatiate corners ...yet). I'm glad that "growing up" is optional!!
About the card, I poured a gallon of Crayola school glue over some areas of the cardstock, smeared it around with my fingers.
Allow to dry overnight (I started this when the challenge went live last night my time - it is now lunchtime Saturday).
Now using the Smack & Squirt technique, scrub lots of watery distress ink over the card (several orange shades and green). To get lots of shimmer sprinkle on some glitter, then wipe a lot of it off.
Stamp background. Colour fairy with pencils, fussy cut and position on bike. The bike is held in place by using the brads on the wheels. Doodle border then adhere the panel to cream card base.
Thank you for looking.

Another beautiful, magical card. Welcome to the 60ies - where you don't have to grow up at all. Now we have time to play around with painty, inky and all the messy techniques we missed out on the first time around. Plenty of spare time to ride that bike and practice corners too. Spring has finally sprung here - thank heavens. Looking forward to some warm sunny days.

I am with you - despite my age, I still feel young inside and the fact that you used school glue on this makes me smile. Great fairy, great bg, and great concept. I love this birthday card you would make yourself - so you! Hugz
