I used the Faux Stamped Leather tutorial for this. Only I used a stencil instead of stamping - I saw in the Technique Spotlight gallery that Dina had made a card using a stencil, and it suited this card. So instead of stamping, I sponged with Walnut Stain through the stencil onto kraft, and then followed the tutorial.
The singing owl and tree trunk are from TCP stamped with masking, and sponged while in the die.
I added a sentiment tag, and since I was adding a gold star to that, I added a few in the background as well. It's layered onto kraft with a couple of score lines and sponged edges.

This is just fabulous, using the technique. Must give that a gander! I love your owl, must be strumming to "Comin' Round the MOuntain"......great star additions.

This is fantastic! Your stenciled faux leather came out great and the focal owl image is adorable. Love the addition of the stars and the black soot outer edges.

Your faux leather looks so good and it's a perfect background for that owl singing his lonesome cowboy songs. This was a fun challenge, and one I would not expect to originate in Dublin, so you get double points for creativity on this one.

Sweet card, Sabrina! Love the stenciled faux leather, so rich in color and the stars are a perfect embellishment. Adorable owl image, I bet he is playing "Home on the Range". ;)
