I pulled out one of the oldest tools in my stamp room today; the Coluzzle! I didn't have a large enough circle die to suit my needs and my CM cutting system is packed away. You never know when you're going to need those "oldies but goodies" : )
When I was a little girl my Aunt Jo had Hollyhocks growing along her fence and she showed me how to make "Hollyhock Dolls" with them. I have fond memories of hours spent on her back porch making those dolls.
This is an interesting sketch for today's challenge, one that was a real challenge for me to work with! My rectangular panels are a bit out of proportion to the sketch! Thanks for taking a look.

I'm fine with the size of the rectangles!
Hollyhocks are a cool flower and this does them justice! The dark one is great-there is that near black color one-like Queen of the Night in tulips...I love that color!
That's an interesting idea-to use one of the steps to make the BG!
I like that dots BG too.

Wish I had wonderful memories like yours. Those memories really make this card very special. I love all the colors and flowers. I think your aunt would be really impressed to know you've crafted a card based on the good times you spent with her.

I love hollyhocks too. The first time I ever saw them was when I worked at a restaurant called Hollyhock Hill. They had them all over their small garden around the restaurant and they were so beautiful. You have done a great job of them on this fantastic card.
