I love drawings on black paper but attempted it once and couldn't get good color intensity. Just bought a set of Prism color pencils so gave it another try. I have always wanted to sketch a picture of a black lab mix I owned years ago. Found a puppy picture of her and sketched this freehand on black before adding color with pencils. I planned to make a card from my image but think I will frame it as a way to remember a wonderful companion. "anything but a card" category.

WOWZERS...jsut like everyone has been saying...amazing work of art. I bet your pup was super as well. what a personal and beautiful way to keep her memory strong. Dogs are so special and you captured her wonderfully...TFS...:0)
