I found this gorgeous pearl button in my stash the other day and that is where this whole card started. I have been playing with watercolour lately and found this wonderful old set (2005) way at the back of the stamp cupboard that deserved to be used. After white embossing the design I wet the watercolour paper and dropped some green and eggplant on the background and the flower. Then for some fun I sprinkled some table salt on top and let it dry. I love the effect this technique has. Feeling the need to vent some frustration I decided to tear the edges of the paper and card for a different effect. Some purple scrap pieces from my bottomless scrap bag added extra colour. All I had to do was cut the shank and pop the pearl button on a spellbinder scalloped circle. The finishing touch was my 'go to' die-cut greeting from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Something old- stamp set, ink, button ~ Something new - die-cut greeting, spellbinder circle.

Dropping the colored ink onto the embossed paper turned out so beautiful, Sue! Great idea! Isn't it fun to see old sets come back to life with new techniques? Nice looking torn edges~

Great water color. So far I am afraid of it. :( Your purple definitely adds to the card. I love the distressed look of the paper. I am sure I have that stamp somewhere, but was not able to turn it up tonight.
