When I saw Ann's poppy card it inspired the card that I needed to make for Paula's Bday. Ann leaves wonderful comments in the galley and she has an amazing gallery of different styles and techniques to choose from. Ann, ENJOY your time in the spotlight!
Mine has a die cut instead of being stamped. We both have embossed backgrounds using the Swiss Dot folder. Hers does not have a sentiment, neither does mine. My Happy Birthday die cut (quite large) is inside. I left off the ribbon, but added 2 scalloped edges instead. I also added the hand made faux paper dots, (formed with a stylus and pad using a small circle punch). I thought hers looked like a dark shade of pink, but it is actually red, so our color scheme is different as well.
The scalloped edges are just half of a SU edge punch (one that cuts both sides of the piece) I cut the Poppy at our die club so I don't know the name but I do know it is Memory Box. The frame is SB Labels 20 and it is popped up for depth and dimension.
This Bday card is for one of the employees at my local library. I am there a couple of times of week and Paula is always super helpful and VERY nice. We are fellow book lovers and it is always nice to talk with her.
Thank you for coming by to take a look. I always appreciate it!

Peggy...this is very pretty!!! I love that you used polka dot paper for the flower die...too cool!!! I like the contrast of the smooth card top with the framed area being embossed too!!! I am assuming that the "pearls" are ones you made and yours are always just perfect!!!!

Oh you did a great job on this beautiful card. I love the memory box die cut and all the dots in this preatty card. I love how you used a hole punch to get the pink dots Great way to use up papers and not purchase the already made candy dots. I am always looking for ways to use up scraps and this my friend is just a fantastic way!!! Thank you for sharing this idea.
