This was a page I did for a "three products, seven scrappers" challenge our stamping/scrapping group set ourselves. The three products were the dark orange cardstock, the background paper and the big blue buttons, which actually had a flower effect on the other side, but I didn't like them so I flipped them over.
The page is actually about a really bad day out with the kids. I was very brave and handwrote the
journalling, which reads: "It was supposed to be a lovely family day out - the perfect start to the school summer holiday. We were sure XXX and YYY would love Dovedale and we wanted to visit before it got busy. We hadn't banked on YYY being in one of his 'not wanting to be outside' moods and he whined all the way along the river bank. XXX loved the stepping stones, but YYY was scared of the water. Then, inexplicably, YYY cheered up... but XXX fell over - and blamed everyone but herself. So we gave up the day as a bad job and made our way home."

I love everything about your page, especially the way you used the various ribbon. The photos are perfect even if your day wasn't. As parents we all have days like that and I applaud you for journalling it that way. Years later, Kate & Tom will look back on that day, laugh and smile knowing how much their Mum loved them--good day or not!
