This is for the TLC489 challenge "Color the Texture" - to dry emboss light colored cs and color the resulting texture.
After embossing, I gently swiped a VersaMark pad across the paper and colored with the dust that results from vigorously scribbling pastels on scrap paper. I mostly used my fingers to apply the color. I sprayed it pretty liberally with Pssst Shimmer Spritz in Sparkle.
The image was die cut and mounted on a slightly larger mat in a metallic, gray-brown color. This in turn was attached to a larger mat cut from a metallic gray-green. The papers are such unusual colors; I love the entire pad! I cut a piece of the green to fit the card front and embossed it with the same ef as the focal, and attached it to a platinum metallic card base. The green is almost heavy enough for a base, but I have found that it sometimes cracks.
The sentiment was printed on my ink jet printer and immediately sprinkled with clear ep and embossed with the heat gun. I die cut the sentiment and two additional pieces that I layered for dimension. Since the matted focal is mounted to the base with foam tape, I didn't want it to get too bulky.
I like this technique and use it occasionally, but I've never been as pleased as I am with how this turned out!
As always, thanks for looking!
