This Thank You card went out to my good friend Barbie Jo who gifted me with this lovely corner die set from Spellbinders called "Gold Elelments One"
My inspriration came from Queen Barbara who has a wonderful creative and varied gallery with lots of beautiful cards. Here is the card I chose to case: Fabulous Phlox by bejoyce at Splitcoaststampers
Her corners are embossed, mine are dies.
We both have a flower (different colors) in between our corners pieces.
She has foliage, mine uses the leaf flourish from the same set as the corners.
I put my sentiment on the inside
It was great spending time in your gallery!
This is also for a really fun challenge called
NBUS Challenge #1
"Anything Goes" http://www.djkardkreations.com/2014/...lebration.html
Go check it out!
In this challenge you must use a NEVER BEFORE used item. A few years ago I was on a mission to get this flower that Marianne Designs makes. I am ashamed to say that this is the first time I have used it on a card. I used dimensionals in between each layer of the flower and I played with the edges to get the effect I wanted. I was very pleased with how it turned out!The actual card that I cut the corners out of (and then placed the pearlized green behind it) is from a VERY old pre-embossed collection of boxed cards. I have never used this particular one. SO it is my second NBUS. The pattern is called "Brocade". I would love to have an EF that actually looked like this does on this card.
I am not sure I was able to capture how pretty the pearl paper is IRL.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look!

It is no surprise that your card is in the favorites this week. The cream/green combo made me swoon! Honestly Peggy, you are a genius of composition! Magnificent, exquisite, a bit of heaven on earth ... breathtaking creation!!!!

WOW! What a beautiful, intricate die that is! I love the mint green and your paper appears to have a sheen on it adding to the elegance! This is gorgeous, Peggy!
