For today's IC challenge, and for yesterday's MIX60 challenge.
I went with the 4th of Audrie's thumbs, since it was a good opportunity to use Swallowtail, which DH got me for Christmas.
I have more printed numbers than words, since I used what looks like an old logarithmic table book and a Polish mathematics book, but there is actual text on the layered butterfly wings.
I gessoed two book pages and left them to dry while I made orange, cranberry and pecan muffins for our brunch ;-).
Stamped the butterfly twice and coloured with re-inkers. I painted a rough frame around the edge with brown acrylic paint, but then decided to add some gilding flakes ~ Copper Thunder picked up on my butterfly colours and also made me think of a real butterfly wing. The green layer of wings is popped up. I added some Stickles to the butterfly, and finished it off with a Verve sentiment.

Absolutely amazing...and to think you made muffins too. I would have needed the entire day to make even one type of muffin using premade refrigerator dough. I keep looking at that fab butterfly. The metal flecks on the wings and border look beautiful. Love, love, love it.

LOVE this card, Sabrina! The frame w/the flakes looks sooo good. Your gesso coated, print bkgrd is a great back drop for the beautifully colored butterfly.
