Happy Friday all, Happy Spring 2! I have to say that Ally's sketch was not as simple as it appeared on first look. But pondering it for several days gave me the opportunity to play with the design B4 I was pleased. And bonus along the way, Sabrina issued a call for Buttons in the WT471 and Anna with the Mix60 to use the printed word. Fun, fun, fun.
I must admit I took my inspiration from a reading earlier in the way about creating yourself...I had the thought of beginning with a dark canvas and slowing revealing oneself as time Marched on! On the left side of my card, I stamped the Stampers' Anonymous 'art definition' test in VersaMark and embossed with sea foam ivory. Then I layered Mango and Lavender Gelatos on top, rubbing until I was pleased with the colors. Used a baby wipe on the text part wiping away some of the color. Added a strip of Washi tape down the edge...delicate pink with flutterbys.
On the right side I cre8'ed the quote from Carl Jung:
if you have nothing at all to create perhaps you create yourself.
It was inked with the Making Memories Magnetic letters in Rummage font. I finished the panels of the sketch with the German scrap in black.
The artist is done with another Stampers Anonymous image that I VersaMarked on black cs and then turned backwards to use as a silhouette. She looks confident in black, don't you think? The artists' palette was fussy cut, adding buttons from my grandmothers' sewing box. I used a red star, pink heart, and a teeny tiny peach colored baby button.
She's ready to work on herself...and I can't wait to see what she creates. I'm off to create more dreams in my head...that and beauty sleep...can never have too much of either of those.
Thanks kindly for your comments...

I am intrigued by your thought process in creating this! WOW on your card! I can't believe how much fussy cutting you did too including that pallet, brushes and images. What a clever way to make a silhouette and LOVE the way you used print! Spectacular card!

Wow Susan, this is fantastic. You certainly combined all the challenges brilliantly. Thank you for such a detailed description and for the genius way you created the silhouette image. Everything about this is wonderful.
