My creativity has been very dried up lately; too many tough personal things going on. So I forced myself to make something today but took the easy route.
I like to look at the donated 'art' (some questionable) at Goodwill and often will buy something ($2 or less) that could be used in a new way. I purchased a print by a local artist for $1.99 and used part of it. I actually owned an original by her at one time but didn't like the colors any longer; I hope someone else is enjoying it. This artist specializes in scratchboard.
This is for yesterday's IC, inspired by this: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stor...?Keyword=birds
and today's FS: Simple Autumn Elegance by Kathleen Curry at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the basic layout and the seasonal theme, mine focused on spring (there are always six more weeks of winter, regardless of what the groundhog says). I guess the hope is that we have springlike weather sooner than March 20 but who knows? I didn't sew around the edge, instead used a border stamp and some sponging to bring out the pink color in the print. I also placed my pearls in different spots.
