Today's Inspiration Challenge takes us to Rapport Fran ett Skrivbord, Birgit's blog. She's a very talented artist with her own unique style, and more often than not, I can pick out her masterpieces from a page of thumbnails. This stunning card was the inspiration for my winter scene.
I don't have any textured white cardstock (really must remedy that situation), so I used watercolor paper for the card base and window. The background is two strips of textured gray, lined up behind the window frame. I sponged some Distress Ink near the top, then stamped the grunge snowflakes in white ink. This was really hard to photograph... it has more sparkle and texture IRL, and I really like how it turned out, even if the window is hung crooked.
God Jul, Birgit... thanks for being such an inspiration!

Awesome card!! It's even more beautiful IRL. I know because I was the lucky one to receive it in the mail for Christmas. Thanks Hilda. It truly is a wonderful winter scenic Christmas card to be treasured.
