My totally favorite color combination! Thanks Mary for your dive into tropical seas, take your breath away colors. What you see, is not my first attempt. In fact, I was going for an ocean landscape, trying to do the brayer, Timmie kinda of thing. I even tried 4 different stampings/inkings...but none of them were quite the look.
I decided to go with this beautiful woman image from Stamp Francisco. She was inked onto Shimmer White paper with the VersaFine Smokey Gray that was embossed in clear. I began laying on the Twinkling H2O's in four different hues. The base of my card is gray. Looking at her hat, I thought it needed a veil, so out came my snippets of trims...what are the odds I'd have aqua net (wasn't there hairspray named that in the '60's????). I added the mermaid scales sequins along the crown of the hat. A black rhinestone for an earring and constructed a bracelet also. The sheer, shimmery ribbon sits on top, I couldn't resist trimming the edges to mimic the feathers of her hat.
My dessert is the trims (net, sequins, ribbon)
So, this beauty is ready for her night out on the town...gonna paint the town aqua. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a marvelous day.

Your trims are fabulous, Susan, and painting the town aqua is just the place for this gorgeous lady!

Oh my gosh, this San Francisco image is gorgeous. Of course, you made her that way. I love the veil and those awesome sequins. I just loaded up on sequins and forget to use them. Love your colors. I wish ladies still wore the fabulous hats they used to wear. I almost never see them, anymore.
Thanks for coming by my blog. You swept through and left so many wonderful comments and they are greatly appreciated.
