This week the tea party is headed to Hibbing, Minnesota to Peggy. Peggy is the mother of Foxy67's son's girlfriend. She has had a recent surgery and will be starting chemo & radiation soon.
The tale of Lake Wobegone is familiar with many. "It is said that the women are all strong, all the men are good looking, and all the children are above average." : )
I broke out my stamps and put this little scene together. I didn't have the loon, this is a digi from one of the coloring pages sites. I sponged the edges of the card and the sky. I will write some words of encouragement in the inside. Thanks so much for stopping by!

What a beautiful lakeside scene, Kathleen! I can almost hear the loon and smell the fresh air! It looks like an idyllic place to find comfort and happiness! Save me a spot by the lake!
Wowzers Kathleen! You put a lot of work into this card and it sure shows. It turned out beautiful. It's hard to find stamps all to the same scale to do this. Great card. It will be loved by Peggy. Watch out with those extra cookies or we will be making some dieting cards!!!

Beautiful scene Kathleen...it looks like a painting! You've captured some of MN's best...a lake, deer, and loons...very peaceful, bucolic and sure to delight Peggy!

Fantastic Kathleen and if you know a trick to change a digi into a watercolor I sure would love to know how! This is amazing and love your coloring! Love your new avatar too.

I used to love listening to Garrison Keillor reading his stories on the radio. In fact, I just read one of his books quite recently.
You've created such a lovely scene, Kathleen. Makes me smile because of the different names things have over here - cattails are bulrushes to me, and loons are divers.
But deer are deer the world over . Except that the ducks on the lake would be different, this reminds me a lot of our nearby park, which is one of the largest urban parks in Europe and has a whole herd of deer. Plus several lakes and plenty of trees and ducks .
We are always delighted to have volunteer hostesses for Tickle a Teapotter Tuesdays. All you need is an idea for a theme and a picture of a teapot to suit it.
