Julie chose Gabby(Gabalot) as this week's featured stamper. Gabby has a great gallery filled with wonderful cards. I remember her saying that this was one of her favorite images(don't know if she has a new favorite since then). That is why I chose this CARD of hers. I always found the image depressing and gave away my die, but before doing so, I did die cut several images in black and white and saved the "blanks" as well. This is one of those blanks. It is obvious all the things I changed about Gabby's original, but I did use "the man". : )
Congratulations, Gabby....enjoy your well-deserved week in the spotlight.

I almost did a card using this man too. I have the die. Anyway, I love your great bg and wonderful sentiment - it's always good to have sunshine! Great case Sallie.

LOVE this Umbrella Man card that is full of great design elements! I didn't know you thought this die/image was depressing. I have the die, every UM stamp Tim has created, as well as, the emb folder. I even emailed Tim to ask him to PLEA-EESE make it in the mini die, as well. Hee?!? The image to me has taken on many meanings ... the "journey" of life, shelter as we walk through life's storms, walking through the storm to get to the rainbow, courage to keep walking forward, hope, and sometimes he is just a cool guy holding an umbrella, who needs to fix his pant leg. Heehee! I THANK YOU for keeping in mind how much I love this image and making a WONDERFUL card with great design elements to add to my FS gallery, Sallie!
