this is for todays WT434 challenge to make a card using the flower of the state you live in...mine is the arizona saguaro cactus blossom shown here ...
I wanted this card to be extra special as it is my 500th card uploaded to the gallery...it is also for our dear friends who live in Sheffield, England and are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary which is the golden anniversary....
I realize the flowers on my card are not exactly like the cactus blossom but I did my best.... I punched out 4 flowers and curled them up and added a pearl to the centre to resemble the blossom....I then proceeded to make all the layers and finally for the sentiment, I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line it up and stamped with ink then versamark, then powder and heat embossed it....

Beautiful! I just saw these giant saguaro catus this past June when I helped my BFF move to Surprise. They weren't in bloom though so not as pretty as your card.
