I needed to make a card for the birthday of a friend who is a musician and piano teacher. Perfect for this challenge!
Crafty Ann Flourish 2 (cut twice and glued together slightly off to create a backing))
Spellbinder Bitty Blossoms
Spellbinder Matting Basics (for sentiment)
Rubbernecker sentiment
Stampendous music background
Cheery Lynn Latticework die
Joy Craft Butterfly
SU black card stock
Ivory linen cardstoc
Black brilliants
Sometimes you make a card and it just makes your heart sing...(no pun intended) I really liked how this card turned out. I will admit it was not my first attempt as the black paper I used was inexpensive and when I went to glue it down it bled all over my project (the back black corner leaf) Originally the piece that is black (behind the latticework) was ivory embossed with a tri dot EF. This is an accident (the black bleeding all over my ivory) that turned out to be a good one as the 2nd attempt was so much better than the first and I learned a valuable lesson about paper.

It's not a good day unless you learn something. This gorgeous card has obviously taught you lots of lessons! I love the flowers and butterfly made from the music paper..very clever.

Wow Peggy this is gorgeous. I keep looking at it trying to work out how you have done it!!! I love the paper you have chosen for the flowers and butterfly, you always think outside the box!! Another Peggy creation for My Favs...I am thinking it would be easier to start a Peggy Favs folder!!

Of all four cards you created last week (you busy gal!) this is my favorite! I can understand why this card made your heart sing, it's absolutely gorgeous! I love the flowers and butterfly created from music dp! I'm also very partial to the sentiment as well - that's just the right touch with this card. Beautifully executed, Peggy. I LOVE it!
