This is my card for this weekÂ’s cc428 challenge. Kim is our hostess this week and she chose lucky limeade, island indigo and pool party for her challenge colors.
The dessert is to paper pierce. I totally forgot about dessert this week (grrr). It would have worked well on my masculine card.
The colors seemed more masculine to me so I decided to go with a fatherÂ’s day card. I chose my stamp set and then my layout this week. Layout is an old de-constructed sketch #90.
The boat image is from the SU set “open sea”. My sentiment is from the Waltzingmouse set “man of the hour ”. I stamped in island indigo on pool party dsp. This is from the SU “sweet shop” collection.
The bg squares are SU dsp from the “world spectacular” collection. I cut the squares with a Spellbinders square die and layered them over island indigo and lucky limeade cardstock. My card base is SU’s sahara sand cs.
I used a MS punch for my anchor to complete my card. Hope you can play along with us this week.

Terrific Father's Day card, Mary. The sailing ship stamped on the wavy DP is genius and the checkerboard quadrants also add to the masculine feeling. A card that is sure to be treasured.
