This is very similar to my February card, but I left off the sponging, embossed Merry Christmas in copper & did a spirelli corner in copper cord. Weathered bg is done with finger walking.
Finger walking is a way to get a random image from a background stamp. With your background stamp rubber side up, ink it up with your brayer. Then lay your card stock on top of it. Put of piece of scrap paper over to protect your fingers from ink and just 'let your fingers do the walking' -- walk your fingers randomly around on the stamp, maybe rubbing in a couple of areas. Lift off your card stock and you will have a random image rather than a complete one. I love this technique using canvas, linen & weathered on distressed or shabby cards.

Thank you so much for explaining finger walking! I'd heard the term before, but wasn't grasping it. NOW I understand!!! Love the card with all of its wonderful detail.
Wow, absolutely gorgeous. I just have discovered your fabulous cards in the last two days, and I have been so inspired. I love your style of stamping, similar to mine. Thanks for sharing. I have bookmarked your gallery. Love it, love it, love it!!
