This is a few roses to cheer up a friend Denise to help her get better. join us this week for our t-pot party.
she loves roses, tulips and kitties. I am going to have alittle kitty inside with her get well wishes. and might put in a couple loose material rose petals too, to go along with the story...:0)
I had much troubles getting here to the finish, as I have not many rose stamps and only one tiny kitty one, so thought I would draw one. I can only draw off pictures and |I searched a long time and couldnt find a kitten with roses, as I wanted to combine the both, so I finally found a cute cat from aristocats from disney and drew it. After drawing it on my last piece of water color paper and tracing it with the black no run marker, I went to color it and it did not shade at all, or hardly any so had to scratch that idea.
so went through all my bits and pieces and found a couple rose stickers, I know she likes bright colors and all |I had were soft ones...lol..so kept looking...lol. Now its after 1 a.m....so....And I am one that hates to finish in the middle of a card, except the insides so took a coupole rose stickers and went with that.
I found this nice die-cut my mom sent me and the one sticker fit so nice in the corner, sponged teh edges and added the tiny rose to balance it off , from another set of stickers and fancy cut it out.
I goofed on the sponging on the edges and got some a bit on the outside on one spot so had to do all the way around to match. didnt show up well on white so put it on a black bg and decided to set that off with the pretty green that was on the leaves a bit. then added that to white card base and still needed something so added the little corners. If wasnt sending that far would try a pretty bow , but they stick out too much.
Sooo hope she likes it. I only have one get well stamp and the font of it didnt match the roses so added a believe, to help her know she can believe in herself to get better, and will put the lil kitty and get well soon in the inside.
Tired know so I do say sorry for the long story here...thanks for the visit..:0)

This is gorgeous and so inspirational! I know how frustrating it is to still be working on a card in the middle of the night and not want to leave the card unfinished, but in this case it paid off! Wonderful card!!

Your tale sounds like some of my adventures! Sometimes the right pieces just aren't there, or the ones that sound right are not! However, that being said, your result is lovely. I specially like the rolled sheet music and that wonderful lacy die cut.
the sponging around the nestie is so soft It works! This is so pretty. I'm glad I'm not the only one with teaparty card making tribulations. Misery loves company.

Wendy, I'm to sorry that your card didn't go smoothly, but what you ended up with is so very pretty! Your stickers are the perfect delicate images for that pretty die-cut. Very nice card.
