this is one of those cards that turned into hours in the making. I finally decided on stamping the bg with TPC's Eau de Toilette stamp set & watercoloring it with Distress Ink. I wanted to use the Penny Black rose and decided to detail cut it and the layers. I have trouble seeing clear stamps and I dropped it and couldn't find it. After tearing apart my desk and crawling on the floor I found it. When I finally assembled the card, I realized the focal image is overpowerd by the bg. Then I decided to emboss the fleur de lis with pigment ink & ep, so it matched. I heated the first brad too much and it melted so the prongs fell off. Anyway, It's the thought that counts, right?

Fran, loved hearing about your issues with this lovely card. I too spent about 1 hour looking for a Martha Stewart punch I wanted to use. At least I got my room cleaned up a bit at the same time. I gave up and finally used another punch but I did eventually find it on a shelf where it should not have been. Denise will be delighted with this lovely card! Thank you so very much for playing in the teaparty for Denise this week!!

Yes for sure its the thought, but here it is also a very pretty thought. I had the same kind of troubles with this challenge card too...what could have taken like 2 hours ended up like 5. So I can relate. but the end result is worth it. Ind of funny too as I had this little clear kitty stamp that I also set down in the planning mode and took me a long time to find it too. So I say hugs and cheers we made it...:0), and Denise will love it...TFS..:0)

Oooh - I can relate to those mishaps (one of these days I am going to find that black hole under my desk - full of treasures LOL!). Your perfume bottles are lovely - perfect bg for the image, IMO.

I guess we've all had days like that... but I've never had such a beautiful end result! If you hadn't described your troubles, I never would have guessed... your card is fabulous! I thought your background was DP, not stamped and colored!

Thanks for sharing your adventure in making this card, now I don't feel like I'm the only one in that "territory". Your card came out great by the way! Love the way you coloring all came together!
