For today's CAS challenge--- to be inspired by the word 'school.' This was such an appropriate challenge for our family this week
As my girls were growing up, I used to tuck little cards like this in my DDs lunches and backpacks for them to find. They even taped envelopes to their doors as mailboxes so I could leave cards in them while they wee at school. Then it evolved into sending cards with them when they went to camp and stuff.
So this past week as we moved my oldest DD to college and as we were cleaning and packing I saw that she had saved all the cards over the years even the ones from Kindergarten. I had no idea! It was such a nice trip down memory lane and by the end we wre all a bit misty eyed.
Instead of posters, DD took some of her favorite cards to college with her to decorate her walls. you just never know what is going to mean something and be important to your kids do you?
Sigh...it was a nice, bittersweet week and the CAS challenge just added to it
Card deets---Just a quick and easy peasy card that works great as a thank you to a teacher or as a set of note cards for a gift. The pencil is a button with the shank clipped off with wire cutters.
Thanks for looking...and listening

What a wonderful card and story. My soon to be high school twins subtly (!) indicated that they would like to continue to get "love notes" in their lunches, which really surprised me. Two of my oldest went to college within a hour of home, but one was 10 hours away in Bar Harbor, Maine. It was the perfect college for him but I wasn't ready to cut the cord that completely. We all thrived, tho'. Best wishes to DD in college.
