We were out this morning and I slept half the afternoon, so I was glad that I could combine the inspiration I'd already picked out this morning (Joe and Sue Fulcher's birds) with Patricia's PINK challenge without it looking too contrived.
P - I hit the jackpot because the stamp I wanted turned out to be Personal Impressions, but I also have Parchment
I - Impression Obsession spotted background stamped with Versamark, and inked edges on my square.
N - Nestabilities
K - Kraft card base
I stamped the image on Bristol Board because it's not one that stamps well on watercolour paper, then I used art masking fluid to keep the birds white while I distressed the background a bit, and then painted in the foreground with some distress inks.
Parchment paper embossed with D'vine Swirl, one end torn, fastened to base with brads, and tape under the image panel.
Woodware sentiment stamped with Versafine Sepia
We don't have avocets here - I saw one for the first time when we were on holidays in France last month. Ours are all black and white, but when I looked them up and saw the US one had a pinky/cinnamon head, I went with that colouring.

Tell me more about masking fluid ... what a great effect ... love the embossed vellum too ... reminds me of ripples in the water ... fantastic inspired card.
