I'm a teapot virgin. This is my very first ever TPT challenge, and man o man, lemme tell ya, I laboured over this one! LOL I don't think it's supposed to take almost 5 hours to make a card but I got it done.
The objectives were to use a fairy . . . get cookies . . . no idea how that works, but cookies are good donkey . . . . . I have a dragon fairy . . . that's gotta be good for at least one cookie huh?
I don't have any flourishes but I coulda photoshopped those on but I wasn't smart enough to do that BEFORE taking a picture of it.
I got the pink and blue though! Oh, and extra pearly thingies to make up for the complete lack of flourishes.
I wonder how many cookies I can expect to receive and how long do I have to wait to get them? Dinner's in a half hour.
Anyways, the inside of the card says "You're still moving forward". I wanted to be a bit different and inject a touch of levity where usually there is none. This comes from something my 13 yr old son said to me when he was helping me through a tough time . . . he said "Mom . . . there's always and upside to the downside . . . sometimes you just have look harder to find it, so start lookin'!" It made me laugh, and I never forgot it so it seemed somehow appropriate based on the write up for Michelle.
Thanks for lookin'!

WELCOME to the tea parties! Once you jump in, you might as well consider it all over now. You're hooked on the first challenge. What a delightful first challenge card. Yes, I can believe it took 5 hours to craft this card. When I first started, it would take me that long too. Not too worry though: with each card you make, it takes less and less time. Your coloring is wonderful and the image .... just perfect for Michelle.

First off, welcome to the Teaparty. Hope you can come again and again. The cookies, alas, are not only virtual, they are in fact imaginary, but that does make them calorie free.
Now onto your card -- it's wonderful. Love the girlie dragon and the lace and pearl treatment. Who needs flourishes?
So, grab a cookie and a cup of tea!

Heather, a big warm welcome to the MMTPT!! We are delighted that you have joined us!! Your image is just tooooo cute and I love that lace and pearls along the side. The Mudder hides the cookies from the seasoned partiers and if she can remember where she hid them, you will get some. They are delish and no calories.....
I love your son's thinking, sounds like a really great kid and I do so agree with him.

Welcome to the tea pot Tuesday! Your card is wonderful - I see the cookie part has already been explained!
Oh, yes, one of mothermark's main rules is that there are no rules, so don't worry about the flourishes! We look forward to seeing you again next week.
BTW, did you know you can let mothermark know, and you can be a cheater, too - she sends an e-mail early on the week end to let us know what the challenge is going to be - gives a head start on creating!
