Images from Shady Tree Studio The set used to create the card released today, click the link for blog hop info.
I used the set Naturally Christmas for this card, love this set with all the animals that can be used year round.
The images are colored with copic markers: antlers – B31,33,95, hoofs – W1,5,7, Body E25,29,35, leg warmers – G85,99, R35,46, trees – G85,94,99, W3,5
The white glitter cardstock was torn on the top edges. ItÂ’s a glazed finish so the glitter doesnÂ’t shed so I roughed it up with a sanding block so the ink distressing would hold. The turned down corners were done with the fingernail and rolling method.
When mounting the images to the card I built up the backside with the same thickness of cardstock that the bottom of the image rest on. ¼” punched circles worked well for the tree, tracing the cutting the moose shape smaller than the actual image and narrow strips for the legs worked perfectly.
The crescent moon makes me wonder if Nancy planned it this way but the inside is easily cut with a ½” punch lined up to the image line, so this before cutting the outside line.
The faux embossing technique was done on the Kraft layers using the Cuttlebug die - Snowflakes. These are glued to the card with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
