Hello! This card was made for todayÂ’s Free 4 All Challenge: Take a Seat. Participants were to use furniture and a neglected tool on their cards.
Well, I KNEW I had to use this vanity and chair stamp for todayÂ’s challenge. It is one of my favorite stamps, and I try to use it when I can. I also wanted to add the Fairy from Garden Fairies to todayÂ’s card, since it IS the Featured Stamp Set today for MFP.
This was NOT difficult to do… the fairy is sitting on a mushroom. The Collie is sitting in front of the chair. I stamped the vanity image twice. I colored in one of the images, and cut around the images, trimming out the dog. Next, I stamped and colored the fairy. I cut her out, and her wings were HUGE! So, I trimmed them off! There is a small butterfly on the top of a wand in the Garden Fairies set. I decided I had to use that butterfly’s wings for the fairy’s wings. However, there is only ONE side of the butterfly on the image. So, out came my Stamp Positioner’s clear plastic sheet. On this tool, that has NOT been used in over 4 years, I stamped the butterfly. Next, took a scrap of Snow Storm Smooth Heavy and RUBBED it on the stamped image. I carefully lifted off the scrap and had the reverse image! All I had to do is color it in, and trace around the “blurry” parts with a Memento Marker.
I cut out the wings, and taped them to the back of the fairy. Next, I used double sided tape to adhere the fairy onto the chair. And to finish, I taped the Collie onto the fairy! It was so much easier to do this than explain it! LOL
What do you think?
