This is for Michelle’s “Remember the 60’s” VSBN challenge which was to “grab your grooviest stamp (digi or rubber is fine) and make some tie dye loving with it.” I used a photo that shows my DGD (rt.) with a tie-dyed shirt she made.
I used a Peace sign stamp and "inked" (using SU markers) it each time with a 5 different colors. I also added some little stamped smiley faces! That cool, colorful designer paper is from a little mini-collection of 6 papers I purchased at the Dollar Tree a few years back (actually I loved it so much I bought two packs! lol). IÂ’ve just been waiting for the right photos or challenge to use it.
I made the title with Photoshop Elements 9, adding shadows & beveling, then printed it and cut around the outside edges. It’s popped up on dimensionals. I also used my Creative Memories wavy cutter, cutting the dp, yellow and purple cardstock to pick up some of the colors. (I don’t use it often, but it’s a fun tool to have!) I inked the edges of the word strips in dibs ‘n dabs of the colors from the peace signs, to give them a tie-dyed feel. This was fun!!
“Journaling: You guys were just hanging out at the park across the street from our house with us. Mady’s wearing the shirt that she tie-dyed herself on one of the days she went to Tutor Time during the summer. Far out, huh??”
I also used SallyÂ’s sketch SBSC270B, (which I love, btw!) with a few tweaks.
