Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combo Challenge: Navy, dark orange and burnt yellow.
I have been gone for about 10 days....Why? Well....Ten days ago,I felt a cold coming on and wanted to get as much done as possible before I got REALLY sick. So, I set about cleaning my home office. As I was cleaning the closet in my stampin' room, I leaned against my stampin' table and thought I had scraped my leg. Well, I had actually broken a gallon bottle of Odorless Mineral Spirits against my thigh. I kept working, standing in the same spot for over two hours. I finally had to use the restroom, and found that I had a CHEMICAL burn on my leg that was wet and according to Markie smelled like gas! I FREAKED! Markie walked into my office and started coughing and grabbed me, pulling me back into the hallway. I had been coughing, violently for over an hour and had NO CLUE this had happened! And, worse, after a 3 day stay at the hospital, I found out that I had lung damage from the Odorless Mineral Spirits. That's right...LUNG DAMAGE! (And, I'm an asthmatic. According to the doctors, and they were MORE worried about BRAIN damage, the asthma HELPED, as I didn't breathe in the chemicals too deeply.) Sunday I finally went back to work, for LIGHT duty. No phones or conversations, just typing.
So, to celebrate being able to now TALK, I decided to participate in today's Color Combo Challenge! I stamped the mouse image in VersaMark and embossed him in gold. Next, I colored him in with Watercolors and cut it out. I added in Flower Soft for the center. The bottom panel was embossed with the big flower from this NEW set: Greet the Day with Gerber. The focal panel and top panel were run through a Sizzix Texture Folder called: Plaid.
Finished card size: 5" Square
Total time to complete: 24 minutes

Faith, I love the way you have used these colors and made them vibrant. Love your little mouse with flower and the charm.
I hope you recover soon, and take care of yourself.........no more fooling around with OMS! That's the danger of it....it's odorless, but still has the same properties as the original mineral spirits....turpentine!

Faith, this is very beautiful, you've brought out the beauty of today's colors! I had no idea that craft areas could be a danger zone, other than sharp things, what an experience!! Please take care of yourself and heal quickly!!
