Here's my card for Tuesday's Teapot Challenge. I'm so excited because I actually did a one layer card. I know one layer cards are supposed to be easier, but I'm usually not thrilled with my results unless I have layers and ribbons, etc. I couldn't resist adding the pearls though, which I colored with my Copic markers so they matched the flower exactly. (I'm not sure what company makes the sentiment stamp -- maybe CTMH?? I've had it in my stash since I first started stamping a LONG time ago!). To create the shadow block, I just tore some pieces of paper and masked off a rectangle, then I sponged ink and sponged and sponged until I got the effect I wanted (so I now have very inky fingers!)

OMG!!! I will welcome you to the teaparty AFTER I pick myself up off the floor! Looking at this one layer card is a real treat! This is such a beautiful thing.....only a stamper truly appreciates the look of this card because we all know how hard it is to accomplish it! It is so very pretty! Years ago, I sold CTMH and that sentiment took me back......I even think its in my stamp room somewhere! Giggle!
Welcome! So glad you came to our teaparty this week! Don't worry, we don't always hitch hike, most of the time we travel in style! Snort! Its fun you are here......now follow me, I will show you were I hide the cookies for the newbies....don't tell the girls, they love cookies! Tee hee!

OH MY GOSH this card is gorgeous. And then you also say it is a one layer card? You have that technique mastered! I love the depth of color and you sure had me fooled into thinking it was layered. I have a postoffice that finger feels all my envelopes when I come in for stamps because they know I tend to send lumpy cards --- so this will go on my favorites list to be imitated but never equaled ... ha ha. >^..^

I am happy you made it to the teaparty. I am going to come back one of these days...
In the meantime, this is gorgeous. I have a similar stamp - but the same feelings about one layer cards, so I am saving this as it is such a lovely inspiration - inky fingers and all.

Inky Fingers...so glad you shared this beauty with the Tea Potters. I, too, struggle with CAS cards. This is truly an inspiration for those of us who are CAS challenged.
Welcome and I will look for you at our next party! Hope you can make it.
