This card is for the Veteran's Day Challenge #WT296 - We Remember (11/11/10). I also used yesterday's Sketch #Sc306 & Monday's CAS Challenge Colors (Olive, Kraft & Pink). This also fits the DD theme challenge this month; Around the Compass/Travel the world.
This card is for my husband who is proudly serving as an Officer on active Duty in the US Army. After moving to NY, we had to endure that dreaded Farewell as Daddy & his Troops left for the war in Afghanistan where they will be serving for the next year.
As an ARMY family, we have endured 3 prior Deployments.... but somehow, this is the absolute toughest thus far. He is serving in an area of turmoil, rocket attacks, terrible sadness and Human loss.
I share this story with you on Veteran's Day because I'd like to ask you to please pray for ALL of our Soldiers to return home soon and safely and for this senseless war to end.

Jaw-droppingly stunning. WOW! My sincere thanks to your husband for his service and my family's freedom, and thank YOU for the sacrifices you must make as a military wife. I know them well. :-)
