This is for IC257 and an amazing site was provided for our inspiration today. Miyuki Sakai Sewing. Here is a link to the piece of sewn art that inspired my project today. http://miyukisakai.com/big_image/tree.jpg
I stamped only three of the Lovely as a Tree image as I wanted to frame them with an oval. I stamped the trees, sponged around the sky area with Old Paper ink and then painted white craft ink on the ground area and little snowflakes falling in the sky and embossed with white ep. When I first decided to use the dark hunter green paper I had not remembered (I rarely us this green) how overwhelming dark it is. When I assembled my frame for the snow scene it seemed to over power the card front. I have fallen in love with the little SU bird punch and can't seem to stop using it. It is so perfectly paired with the pine punch. I decided to lighten and brighten up the card with the red bird and branches and by adding Flower Soft Polar White to the pine sprigs.
