When I was a kid, I remember my mom showing my me how to make ornaments by recycling the holiday cards we had received. We cut parts of them into circles, folded and glued them. This ornament is based on that idea but using stamped cardstock in some non-traditional holiday colors instead of holiday cards.
I punched 20 - 1-3/4" circles of three different cardstocks (more might have been better as I ended up having the same color side-by-side in some cases). I stamped them in black with funky patterns. I used a template to create an equilateral triangle (all sides the same length) of 1-1/2" and traced that on the back of each circle. I folded up the edges of each circle on those lines. I used strong adhesive to start putting the folded up edges together until I had formed a ball. Unfortunately, I was so intent on getting all the lines matched up that I forgot to put a hanger in it.
I don't think my description does this justice so I looked on the web and found this tutorial which shows all the steps.
