This is or FS194 and LynnePoo is our featured artist today. I had so much fun browsing Lynette's gallery and found so much inspiration. I had to try my hand at a second project for the challenge although I didn't quite succeed at what I started out working towards. I was inspired by Lynette's One Layer Christmas One-Layer Christmas by LynniePoo at Splitcoaststampers I wanted to use reindeer from Festive Favorites to create a single layer card just like Lynette's. This is actually my second attempt and the second time my pure white cardstock single layer got smudged with black. Ugh! I was almost finished coloring the image and decided I was going to have to stray from Lynette's single layer to a double layer card so I wouldn't have to waste my efforts. I stamped the reindeer and masked them off so I could stamp little evergreen trees from Happy Winter around them. I painted the images and sponged in the sky area with blue. Instead of using punched snowflakes like in the inspiration piece I hand painted in falling snow using white craft ink and embossed with white DP. I used the reindeer tag as an embellishment instead of using the sentiment. I love the little red gingham tie on the tag and think it finishes off this little country Christmas card perfectly. The green layer was stamped using the retired Flannel Plaid bg stamp. Polar White Flower Soft was added to soften the ground area at the feet of the reindeer.

Kittie.....you are also a huge inspiration. Isn't it fun when our creations take on a life of their own?!? I love the results of your creative journey. TFS
