Hello everyone! Hope your day is going well. Rox, thanks for another fun sketch, really gets the mind going. I am using some things left over from Monday's challenge, using cardboard. So, on to the details...
I had made some "faux" buttons using cardboard. I used one of them here. Plus I had gessoed several pieces of cs for future use. On one of them today, I painted it red, then put on a crackle medium, then light ivory, and it worked this time. Crackles all over.
I thought it would have a unique look if I stamped directly onto the crackled bg. So I did, coloring with re-inkers. Cut this panel out using deckles scissors.
The next panel, #3, was gold ac cs ran through the cb putting ink down first. Sponged the deckled edges.
Panel #2 is white ac cs ran through the cb then cut and sponged edges.
Put all panels on a blue cs card that I stamped with versa mark, then SU-weathered, then white ep it.
Added my faux button after I put a red bow through the holes. Oh yeah, popped up panel #4.
Well, hope you like my weathered card.....TFL :0)

Your whimsical, textured cards always bring a smile. I am always curious to see your take on our challenges as you really make them your own. The textured, crackled surface is so cool.

Love this, Cathy. I'm glad I found some time to look through the gallery today. This has NOT been a good week. This is so happy and cheerful - makes me think of summer by the seaside.
So, I am curious - who is NC sis?
