Judi's challenge asked us to be inspired by a food that reminds us of Summer in a CAS format. Karen's challenge asked us to use water in the making of a card. So, I combined the challenges by using watercolor as a technique in the coloring of these juicy summer peaches.
Growing up my BFF lived across the street- Mary Agnes Parisi- and they had a big peach tree in their backyard. One year the tree got struck by lightening right down the middle and that tree still bore fruit on both sides of the tree that was nearly split in half. I used to sit on the back steps with my friend and enjoy the peaches right from the tree.
I embossed the image in dark brown and watercolored the inside. A very simple sentiment, ribbon and gems keep it simple, but sweet. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

I love the white on white, especially with the varied texture. Amazing work with the peaches, too.
What a great story--thanks for sharing the details. I can almost taste the peaches!

I remember eating peaches right off the tree. We had three peach trees when I was a kid. And one of them was a white peach! They were the best!!! Your card is so pretty. Congrats for making it to the Honors Gallery.
