Congrats Kathy for being selected as Featured Stamper this week. Your gallery is incredible. I spotted some of your cards using the Eiffel Tower. I have an Eiffel Tower image and also was in Paris to see it for myself back in '05. So, I've been waiting for a time I could actually use it. The problem is I love a good distressed card, but they are so hard for me to do. I obsessed on this one big time. And, also photographing it about 3 dozen times trying to get the right lighting. I think it will be awhile before I distress again as it REALLY DISTRESSED me!! LOL!
I didn't change a whole lot - a little with the color combo and different distressing and added a flower and some faux stitching. I couldn't get myself to peel back paper. Maybe next time I can graduate to that!
Well, here you go. Used the SU Chic Boutique stamp set for the main image. Dotted it with copper stickles, stamped it twice and raised it up on dimensionals. I embossed the b/g of the image and the main panel with the distressed stripes ef and used the En Francais B/G stamp on the first panel. I paper pierced and faux stitched the image and main panels. Added some copper eyelets which I sanded, added a flower with a SU antique button in the center, placed a green silk ribbon with SU Victoria Crochet Trim on top of it and popped up the image, image panel and main panel on dimensionals. I also sanded each panel and sponged them both with soft suede and always artichoke. I was able to use my distressing tool, which doesn't get much use around here, for most of the panels.
Whew, it's done and I'm not totally sold on it, but I certainly did obsess enough on it that's for sure. Kathy, I'll leave the distressed cards to you okay?
Thanks SO MUCH for taking a look and I hope you have a great Sunday.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
