This is for MMTPT88. I just couldn't stand by and watch Gertie throw her heart away on a flash in the pan like Frizzle Da Dizzle. We all know how these rapper dudes have a hen in every nest. Gertie is so in love with strong and steady Monty but she is still having trouble letting go of that heart pounding heat she feels when she is behind the barn taking rap lessons from that no good Frizzle Da Dizzle. Gertie runs back and forth in the barn yard trying to get herself and her feelings under control and make the best decision. Should she follow the groupie of hens and run after Frizzle or give her heart to Monty, who may not be as exciting as Frizzle but is loving and loyal and as faithful as the day is long. I know what I think she should do.
I couldn't resist using two retired SU sets for this challenge. It has been a really long time since I played with the Best of Cluck set and thought the big old hen was perfect to pair with the barn from On the Farm. I stamped the barn on watercolor paper and again on scrap watercolor paper to cut out and pop up. I masked off the barn and sponged in the ground and sky area and then created the tree with a sponge and artist pen. I stamped the ground texture with my mini fern and then sketched in the little fence in back of the barn. I painted the barn and cut out pieces and popped up for dimension. Gingham and barn yards are a perfect compliement to each other.

Kittie, what a lovely Kittie scene you've created for us this week. The dimension with the barn popped up in front of the grain silo or whatever is just perfect - and so is Gertie running up and down to cool herself and her heated emotions. You are so right, she should definitely stick with Monte. Can you see Frizzle staying contentedly in this idyllic country setting for long?

Will someone please tell Gertie it's not what she thinks...it is only "hot flashes" and to stop running around and to just settle down. Love the barn and silo stamps, don't remember those either. Love the Best of Cluck chicken and her colors too! AWESOME scene-you are so very talented!

Ha ha ha... I love it! I pulled out Best of Cluck for this challenge also -- great minds must think alike. But I love your action scene with the barn in the back and one crazy chicken in a hurry! The barn boards are perfect by the way!

A chicken in every nest? Bwahahaha! Oh Kitty, this is one fine farm! Your scenes are the best. (I am soooo lovin' my Kitty Kit!) Your story is a hoot. I just know Gertie is running towards Monty! That gal's got her head screwed on right! TSMFS! Hugs....
