This first wee, we were to use these guidelines:
1-Utilize texture
2-Use a color you don't normally take to
3-Use designer paper
This image is digital and I'm still new to these, so bear with me ... I colored with prismas & gamsol.
1 and 2. The turquoise - not my fave color -frame was cut with Nestie scalloped rectangle then ran it through the CB snowflake folder for the texture. I used teal and sponged over the top of the embossed areas to show more and at the edges. I popped this mat up on dimensionals so that Kai sat back. I matted this on teal - not much goes with turquoise.
3. I used some SU dp as the bg and cut photo corners going in opposite direction as the bg stripe with a mat of teal.
I finished off with white grosgrain ribbon and some lite blue stickles to simulate brads then icicle sticles on the snowflakes. Base is white - wanted to keep with the theme of snow ... ugh, already, lol.
I guess turquoise & teal aren't quite SO bad, lol.
Thanks for looking. Great New challenge - looking forward to more.

Collette, your coloring on this child is OUTSTANDING!!! Such awesome shading, and the babies face looks perfect. I like how you popped your embossed frame up. I also love the snow you have created. Terrific work!!
