I hope that the fact that my buttons have a few colours is okay for the CAS50 challenge. This is the FIRST card I've been able to make since fracturing my wrist- and foot - back in October 2009.
As it happened, Teal is one of my mom's favourite colours, and she'd requested buttons on a card for her birthday. So I already had this card made today - and it seemed to fit the CAS challenge.
A note to Benzi and Pam124.... Benzi - thanks so much for the wonderful full size sewing machine that you sent me through the mail! It's just fabulous!! I just put my buttons on the automatic setting of that fancy new fullsize sewing machinen that you sent me! Why Pam aka Fruitcake could not use the very same operational sewing machine that you sent her - we can only blame on Fruitcake's 1-2 digit IQ. So sad, Fruitcake! ahhh!
Teal buttons from SU, other buttons from Papertrey, stamped and sponged in SU teal and SU old olive. The white little white bit was an afterthought created by square nesties!
Thanks for looking , and I'll be back tommorow to comment more!

DEBZI, you're back!!!!! Woohoo....get those cards rolling. I guess you'll have to take it easy for a bit, though. Love, love, love this beautiful card in teal and those awesome buttons. I am so glad YOU were able to use my sewing machine because poor Pam124 will never get a stitch put to cardstock.
Not even with her 'Sewing for Dummies' book. Oh, her 1-2 digit IQ is one for the books. Debzi, I know your mom is going to adore this card. Keep doing those exercises and take care. HUGZ, Benz

Woo Hoo, did you hear me? Woo Hoo, Debz, the defective detective is back at work!!! Oooh, I LOVE teal Debz and this is a really cute card for your Mom. How cool that it fits the CAS challenge today. LOVE your buttons and you did a mighty fine job sponging there my friend!! It's SO GOOD to see you back. I know it's been awful for you Debz, but think about us for a minute - I know it must be hard to think beyond yourself, but work with me!! We've been deprived of viewing your beautiful cards, so we've suffered right along with you. Although, I will say you got a double dose of pain - physical from the injuries and withdrawal from the stamping!! Take care my lil defect!!!! I'll be looking for more uploads now that you've taken the first big step. TFS!!

P.S. Just to CLEAR things UP - The Benz did not send The Debz a real sewing machine, nor did she send me, The Fruitcakez, a real sewing machine. The Debz is trying to start a feud b/t The Fruitcakez and The Benz over this issue. It ain't a gonna happen!! I know that The Benz doesn't send out expensive gifts that are "real", maybe "fake" sewing machines, but never "real" ones!! I'm not saying The Benz is "cheap", she just gets excited to get someone's hopes up and then surprise them with what she considers a "funny" gift - that being a "fake" gift!! So Debz, I have run this card and those buttons through my "Is it really a sewing machine from The Benz software identification program" and it came out a big 0% odds of you having possession of such a gift from The Benz. You can't put anything past me. You should know that by now. The Fruitcake may have a 1-2 DIQ, but she knows a "fake" sewing machine when she sees one and is able to back up that "gut feeling" with high tech equipment. I'm so sorry to embarrass both you and The Benz about this, but I had to set the record straight!!! LOL!!

So glad to see you here, Deborah! I wondered where you were...oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your fractures!!! WOW! You have had an awful time!! I hope you REALLY are on the mend. I love this card with all the buttons and the little bit of sponging at the bottom. I love the different colors...who cares if there are more than required. I think of these challenges as "suggestions"!! LOL!

Pam, I sure wish I had time to come back on your last comment but I have a life (at the moment) and have to leave my house. I'll just leave you stew about that awesome sewing machine I sent the high IQ Debz (who figured it out).

Yikes, Cap'n Canada herself has returned! Such a long, difficult wait we've had since your last card. It's fairly obvious you havent missed a beat since departing for the warm sunny skies of Florida to recuperate. Your buttons are adorable, Cap'n Canada. Oh, your sponging is so perfect. Your mom will oooh and ahhh over this one.

You have to know I'm your biggest fan, Cap'n Canada! You are such a dear sweet (not often) friend I've gotten to know through our many phone calls. I am elated you've finally been able to return to something you're profoundly great at - making cards. This one is a winner for sure.

And another thing, Cap'n Canada, I am fully aware of an auspicious day there is coming up. Have they made this very important day a national holiday over there. Everyone should be given the day off if you ask me.

During your absence, you've continued to make comments on so many cards w/your busted up wrist. I want to commend you for doing that. It's not easy especially when you know there's no cards in your gallery. Glad things have finally turned the corner. LYMI .....hahababaha
