I was so happy to see Brenda (Benz-a-lina) chosen as FS last week, but did not have the time to 'play cards', which worked out for me since I needed a special card for our oldest son, Chris who turns 31 on Jan 2nd. I always enjoy the FS challenge the most, and was inspired by this card of Brenda's:
I used the same layout, changing the colors and images. Brenda, thanks for the inspiration. Your gallery is full of ideas and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to your gallery today! I hope your day in the sun was a blessing to you.
The main image was stamped with VersaMark and done in black EP and watercolored to match the color of Chris' Jeep. He loves Jeeping, camping and the mountains altogether. I know that my DP does not match a mountain scene, but it will be special to Chris. As young children, my boys loved to play 'Army Men', and always made fun of the 'useless' Army guy- the one crawling on his belly, with no gun. He will chuckle to see this.
The main image is popped up and is framed with the MS fern punch. The bumper and lights have a coat of Crystal Effects to make them stand out. The headlights are red gems.
Thanks for looking!

Ooooh Pat, what a great way to honor Brenda as featured stamper. You did a wonderful case of her "owl" card. Look at the details here - you always AMAZE me girl. Such a fun card and your sponging, masking and coloring are JUST AMAZING!! I remember those Army figures my brothers used to play with!!! Oooh, Chris is going to LOVE this card. TFS your really cool card and always LOVE well made masculine cards as they are so hard to do. You make it look easy!! TFS!
