This card is for three challenges. Anne challenged us for the DDC to use plaid and a button. I made my own plaid paper behind the snowflake. I took a blue marker, a ruler and my acrylic block. I drew lines horizontally and vertically. I then inked my brayer with night of navy ink. I then rolled over the marker lines. The ink on the brayer activated the marker and transfered the lines to the brayer and then onto the paper.
The second challenge is Kelly's Word of the Week Challenge #13.
limbus: a border distinguished by color or structure
My card has 4 limbi (plural of limbus). I have a white limbus around each panel.
Lastly it is for this week's sketch challenge. Thanks Roxie. The three smaller panels all started with white cardstock and then I used several different techniques using night of navy ink. The largest of the 3 panels, I inked my brayer with night of navy ink and rolled it onto the paper. I then misted the paper lightly with water from a spray bottle. Before the water dried, I inked up the brayer with more night of navy ink and went over the top. It gave it a speckled effect. The long skinny panel was done by brayering night of navy ink to the inside of an acetate folder. I misted the ink and closed the folder. I then inserted the piece of white cardstock. I removed it from the folder and then went over the top with my brayer again.
