I was so pleased to see the TLC today, because it is a technique I have been wishing to try since Deb Horst sent me some wax paper. I made two cards, one using the negative side of the embossed wax paper, and the other using the positive side.
I embossed a sheet of waxed paper with the Bird Call folder, and ironed it between two sheets of glossy card. I brayered them with Peeled Paint distress ink (Tim Holtz), and added a bit of blue and brown on one of them.
For the card on the left I sponged the edges with dark brown chalk ink, and added a sentiment from Lots of Thoughts and Primas. For the centre of the Primas I used a copper snowflake brad, curved upwards, and a Kaiser pearl in the centre. A couple more smaller pearls are added to the extra Word Window punchies.
For the second card I sponged the bird a bit too and added a torn corner with the same Provocraft paper that I'd used on the first card. I used some printed twill ribbon (remembering in time to stitch the little knots down for added security before mounting it onto the base) and another Prima, with a big flower eyelet for the centre. I doodled a bit round the edge.
That's the last of my Kraft card-stock, got to get me some more.
Fun, Lynn - thanks.

I love both the negative and positive of this technique here. Your flowers are very pretty. Your cards are too! Love them. TFS :0)
