Well, I decided to go ahead and finish this card to make it for the color challenge. This was the card I was going to make for my local swap. But I thought it was a little much. I still have to finish the other 5 but, I will do them later. This card did take work, but I hope I didn't go overboard.
Todays color challenge was to use kiwi, baha breeze, and pretty in pink. I think I am close. I started last week in making these cards using the sketch challenge and that's when I decided I was going to have to change the layout and go simple. I adhered all the dp strips onto brown c/s. I also used a zig zag stitch with my sewing machine. I then pierced all around the edges, then back over them with the white galaxy pen. This part will change with the other cards that I need to finish. Since I made this card bigger than the standard size, I thought it needed something else as the layer. So, I used the cm oval cutting system on the brown and green c/s and used the cb textile emboss folder adhered as part of the layer. These wonderful images came from Flowergal36, isn't she the sweetest. You can view her gallery here: flowergal36's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers. The bunny is colored with prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, and odorless mineral spirits. I sponged the sky and the grass with inks. I added 2 sided ribbon and adhered to card. The image is held on with foam tape and the sentiment is held on with tacky tape. Thanks for the challenges and your comments are always welcomed. Have a wonderful day!
What do you think?
