what a lucious combination of colors, Emily! I knew exactly what elements to bring together today in my CC209. The pattern scrap of DP fit perfectly into my card design.
That gorgeous, vintage DP is Margo by K&CO. It is a beautiful double sided paper. I decided to go with a Brazzill black linen card base. I wanted all my elements to have maximum impact. The quote is from B Line designs. Inked with Nick Bantock Rose Madder and embossed in clear. I used the Petite Oval nestabilities. And made my scalloped oval in SU Always Artichoke. The fabu velvet ribbon is vintage. It is a lucious blue red and adds just the right texture to my card. I used the slot punch to wrap the ribbon under my paper rose.
So what do you think? I think I had better get my roses pruned if I want the real thing in May!

Beautiul Susan, it is so strange to think your roses are blooming in May and ours will be giving their last blooms (boo:hoo) This card is a great take on this weeks colours and that ribbon is so LUSH - beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing!
