This is my card for Cindy's teapot challenge this week - here's her blog, with her teapot and card: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/2009/...uesday-34.html.
It's a simple teapot, so I made a simple card.
Fact - I try not to make cards I won't use.
Yes, I am Irish, and I might send one or two St. Patrick's Day cards (well, maybe one), but I had a French mother and a not very Irish upbringing, and I wouldn't send a very shamrocky one to anybody.
So, since it's a simple pot, I made a simple card.
I got back from work to find that Martha, Max and Maurice had been fighting over the shamrocks that I left out ready to use. Actually, I left out some clover, but who's to know the difference. That doesn't quite explain how their torn-up shamrock leaves turned into balloons, but it will have to do.
I did find another one, without glitter on it, that they hadn't torn up, so I put that on the inside. Must have been that Martha wanted the glittery one and the two boys didn't want her to have it...
White card base, green and orange layers. I drew a gentle slope and some grass, stamped on a Penny Black mouse 3 times after masking off the balloon, and coloured with watercolour pencils. The ballons are hearts punched out of light card with double-sided adhesive film, and glitter. Inside there is a shamrock made with 3 hearts and a stem cut from the green I used as the mat layer.
Thanks for having us again, Cindy. Or did you all come over here this time???
